HOW TO…
Access the home:
Gumlog Getaway uses a NestxYale lock. When it is time to check in, press the Yale logo at the top of the lock. The numbers will appear. Plug in the last 4 digits of your phone number, and press the check button. Door will unlock. To lock, simply press the Yale logo.
Connect to the WIFI:

Wifi Password: jzsfz247gb
There is little to no cell service at the house (if you walk either way on the road you’ll get a couple of bars if you need!).
Use the washer and dryer:
The LG ThinQ washer/dryer combo is pretty self explanatory. Couple rules we have are: 1. Please place the laundry pods INSIDE the wash drum. 2. Please leave the wash door open when not in use. 3. Please empty lint trap in dryer after every cycle. All laundry supplies are provided in basket above the machine.
Use the TV:
Gumlog Getaway is equipped with Roku TVs. Each TV has its own dedicated remote. You can cast both audio and video to all TVs. Additionally all tvs come preloaded with apps like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. Feel free to log in while you’re staying, just don’t forget to log out!
Use the fishing poles:
Who doesn’t like catching a fish?! During the summer months feel free to use to fishing poles provided. We ask that you: 1. Do not remove them from the property. 2. Do not leave them outside in the elements. 3. Please return them to designated holder.
Use the Google Home:
The Google Home is located on the TV console. You can ask it almost anything. Our favorites are “Hey Google, play the Gumlog Grooves playlist on Spotify” or “Hey Google, what’s the temperature this morning?” After a few glasses of wine, “Hey Google, tell me a joke.”
Use the outdoor firepit:
*PLEASE USE RESPONSIBLY* We have locally sourced and seasoned firewood available for use as well as matches and lighter fluid. Since the wood is seasoned it doesn’t require much lighter fluid to get it started. Please make sure screen is on fire pit while using and all items are returned and covered where they were originally found after use to ensure the next guest can use this amenity as well.
Use the Traeger Grill:
Other Notes:
If you’ve never used an electric pellet smoker, DO NOT FEAR! We have provided you with a downloadable file to help you look like Grill Master McGee!! Click here to access the PDF & here for recipes! (Pro-Tip: Dill’s Food City always has good deals on smokin’ meats and a fantastic bbq sauce section. Ace Hardware for your seasonings!)
Some other things to know! We’ve left coffee and a bottle of wine to get you started on your vacation. No need to replenish, just enjoy! Need some rags to wipe down the outdoor furniture? We’ve got a bag of tshirt rags in the tv cabinet. What else is in the tv cabinet? More kitchen towels, manuals for the Traeger and coffee machine, headlamps and a lantern. Above the fridge you’ll find some extra pantry goods, bbq skewers, lids for the mason jars, ziplocks, and baby meal time accessories. In the walk-in closet in the downstairs bedroom you’ll find beach towels and spare towels are in the bottom drawer of the dresser. Sheets for the pull out couch in the loft are in the storage coffee table. Again, if there’s anything else you need, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
